BARRY's Story
Life
Now living in Columbus, OH. Got married on September 8, 2001. I just RETIRED from being Consulting Programmer/Analyst, currently on assignment with the Ohio Department of Taxation.
Job used to keep me off the streets (for which the streets were eternally grateful!), so the streets are in trouble again!
3 grown kids (2 bio-kids 1 step-kid). FOUR Grand-kids, with two more pending! Well, I already claim them, so lets up the number to SIX.
Life is fun!
School
It took 2 years to convince me that I had a brain. By graduation, I was in the Who's Who.
One teacher, Mr. Schallert, introduced me to computers. Good thi...Expand for more
ng, too. I am still working with them to this very day, and wouldn't want to do anything else.
I was a goofy nerdy kid in school, as y'all well know. But I am told that I have "aged" well.
Workplace
Began my career as an accountant. Then, the company bought a computer. I was asked to keep an eye on it. Next thing you know, I am writing my own programs to get my dang-blasted accounting reports to balance.
Then, on to other computer activities, where you will still find me to this day. I work with all sorts of computers, zipping data back and forth between them, and writing all sorts of programs.
But, now, I AM RETIRED.
